Time Inc - Institution's post

As soon as i went on Time Inc's website i was amazed by the images running along the top of the page creating a banner, as i hovered over them i realized the images are links to articles which have been published in their magazines. This feature is very effective and quick for the audience, it gives them the opportunity to view the latest articles without thinking about it too much.


As you scroll down Time Inc's website there are many fabulous features, even though this is very simple i belive it is very important for the institution to have as it tell's the audience every single brand which they have along social medial links in the top left hand corner, social media links are so important to Media Institutions because they need as many fans as possible for people to buy their magazines and get the word out to the nation about their magazines.

Under the about link on the Time Inc's website, there is a 'Company Profile' and this text is one of the main features on the page, it stands out as soon as the page loads. This sentence is one of Time Inc's proudest moment's so they want to express it with the only way they know how, Brilliantly! The yellow background with people on it contrasts with the white making it stand out, the little people on the background represent the amount of people interacting with Time Inc's Brands. 

Audiences:
Time Inc cater for both male and female audience's, they have brands targeted at female readers (E.g. 'Woman & Home', 'Style at home', 'Ideal Home', 'Beautiful Kitchens')and brands targeted at male readers. (E.g. 'Cycling Weekly', 'Gold Monthly', 'Rugby World', 'Shooting UK') To attract their specific audience they have used topics they know will interest them and encourage them to buy it, for example if you see a magazine with your favorite sport on the front then your bound to buy it. 


Under the 'About' section, you can view Time Inc's history, on this webpage they have a time line showing how they have progressed through the 150 years the company has been going, as you can see you can find Time Inc's magazine on the internet, on your Ipad's, Iphones, 'Ipods' they have found every way possible that their audience can read their magazine, including subscriptions so the magazine can be viewed via an 'App' on their phones. It is very important company's keep up to date with the new technology usage because their target audience are much more likely to use something/read something if it is on their phones or Ipad's because these items are what people take everywhere with them and use daily, they fit in pockets and bags whereas an actual magazine doesn't so it is much more convenient for them to have the App. Time Inc and all media institution's are constantly aiming to please their audience.
