Institutional post - Bauer

Bauer media is part of he Bauer media group, they joined it in January 2008, they are the sister to 'H Bauer Publishing' The group offers over 300 magazines in 15 countries including online, TV and radio. Their magazine heritage goes back to 1953 when Angling Times was launched and in 1956, Motor cycle news. In 1994 Bauer bought a small magazine brand For him which is now a best-selling international multi-platform brand FHM, Closer was launched in 2002 and Britain’s first weekly glossy, GRAZIA, was launched in 2005.Today, Bauer Media spans over 80 influential brand names covering a diverse range of interests including heat – the must have weekly celebrity title, ParkersMATCH!, CAR and Yours. Bauer Media engage 19 million customers per week this is down to their in depth understanding of their target audience. They are also the most influential brand in the UK.

If you click on the brand of the magazine on Bauer's website, it tell's you all of the place's you are able to get hold of the particular magazine for example, 'Q' magazine is available in the magazine itself, TV and Computers. (As shown on the left)


On the website, no matter what heading you click on the logo and slogan is always at the top on the page. 





These features are good advertisement strategies, as the company is available to follow on every popular social networking site, they supply a range of ways to view their products and by keeping the logo and slogan above every page on the website it reminds their audience of their logo and slogan providing them a popular reputation. 


Bauer may consider publishing my magazine because of the genre, Vintage as they don't currently have a vintage magazine, also allot of their magazines are aimed at a younger audience which fits well with my magazine I am going to create. I believe Bauer media has a gap in the market for a vintage music magazine.
