Institutional post - Granta

Granta magazine was originally create by students at Cambridge University in 1889 and is named after the river that run through the town, each issue has a theme of fiction, memoir, poetry or photography.

Granta's website has their name constantly placed at the top of the webpage. It is very formal but simple which would be easily recognizable

Granta also displays a link to their newest magazine they have published at the side of the webpage. This is an advertisement strategy. If i was to create a website for my magazine i would definitely do this as a reminder for my audience.

On the homepage of Granta, there is links to social media but they are very brief and displayed at the bottom of the page, i think this is something they could work on as social media is a good way of advertisement.

I don't think Granta would publish my magazine as their theme's are fiction, memoir, poetry and photography, although there would be a gap in the market for a music magazine. Granta also have a different audience to my magazine I am going to create, it is a much older audience where as my target audience is going to be 16-19 years old.
